Join the Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership for the 2026 Southwest Florida Resiliency Summit! This is the 6th annual regional public event to make Central and Southwest Florida more resilient to future extreme weather and storms.

The Coastal & Heartland National Estuary Partnership is hosting a public event on Tuesday, September 22nd, where the public, local scientists, land managers, policymakers, and resource users will come together to share the latest regional resiliency science and projects being undertaken to further address challenges impacting Central and Southwest Florida.

​

This in-person event will have numerous networking opportunities to allow participants to build new connections and collaborations. Topics will include Assessing and Addressing Vulnerabilities and Risks, Local Water Management District Updates for the Region, Adaptation Planning for More Resilient Communities and Implementing Adaptation Using Innovative Approaches. Experts from a variety of organizations will be presenting, including City of Venice, Conservancy of Southwest Florida, Ecosphere Restoration Institute, University of Florida, Dewberry, Central Florida Regional Planning Council, South and Southwest Florida Water Management Districts, WSP, HighTide AI, and more!

This year's summit will also coincide with the statewide Florida Resiliency Conference being held September 23rd-25th at the Sunseeker Resort, walking distance from this venue. Having these two events held in tandem will give the opportunity for interested participants to attend both events, gleaning greater knowledge on how we can further resiliency on both a local and statewide scale.​​
