Habitat Restoration Needs Planning

Habitat restoration is central to CHNEP's mission. The Habitat Restoration Needs Plan (HRN), aimed to enhance regional habitat restoration and mitigation efforts using the best available science. The three main goals of the project were to:

  • Create regional habitat restoration short-term goals and a long-term vision

  • Identify habitat restoration, conservation and land acquisition priorities needed to reach the habitat restoration vision and goals

  • Develop a strategy for easy access and regular updates to CHNEP restoration plans

The following fact sheets/handouts below break down the results by basins in the CHNEP area.

Habitat Resiliency to Climate Change

The Habitat Resiliency to Climate Change Project (HRCC) takes a closer look at what kind of impacts our watershed may experience given the most recent climate change and sea level rise science. This project aims to delineate habitat connectivity and provide resiliency solutions such as migration corridors.

The following fact sheets/handouts below break down the results by basins in the CHNEP area.
