Funding

The CHNEP offers grants to Florida citizens, organizations, businesses, government agencies, schools, colleges and universities who are implementing activities that support the objectives outlined in the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan (CCMP) to protect and improve the ecological integrity of the greater Charlotte Harbor watershed. 

The research, monitoring, restoration and educational projects supported by these grants benefit the natural resources in the watershed, enhance our technical knowledge, or improve community awareness. Projects vary greatly in scope and scale, and are usually funded in cooperation with other sources. Consequently, the total value of the project is often much greater than the support provided by the CHNEP. ​
